About Sweet Magnolia Farms

Our farm is a 6th generation farm. The farm has changed over the generations but has been in consistent production from the beginning.  My husband, Mark, has lived on the homestead since he was born. When he grew up, the farm was primarily a dairy farm that sold their milk to large milk companies to be purchased by the public. It was an all hands on deck, family farm. The dairy closed in the 80's and then became primarily for beef cattle production. When the drought hit in Texas and the cattle industry took a decline, we sold most of our cattle and started growing a specialty hays.  Of course we had a variety of different animals on our farm with our small herd of cows but our primary income was from hay and custom farming for other farms. 

We still produce hay on our 400+ acre farm but about 8 years ago....... I wanted a "pet" cow. This is when Sweet Magnolia Farms started. It started with 3 fluffy mini cows but the addiction kicked in fast. Now we have over 100 head of fluffy cows and still growing. In the last 8 years we have added lots of other lovable critters to our farm including mini donkeys, kunekune pigs, babydoll sheep, mini horses, alpacas, turkeys and many others.  We even added a few Kangaroos, Axis, and lemurs just for fun. I know this just the beginning of our adventures with interesting creatures.  We are excited to provide the best animals for others to love and share our knowledge on farming and animals.
